Product Description
Carving The Full Moon Saloon
Presented by 21 members of the Caricature Carvers of America
There are over 25 original carvings carved separately, enough to fill a 2 ft. x 2 ft. x 4 ft. saloon. Each of the 21 different carvers present his or her project in a separate chapter with sketches and notes for you to pick and choose. The choice of tools range from knives to large chisels,to power tools. Finishing methods will also vary because each artist uses a different medium. Included are patterns for each of the carvings in the saloon, which you can modify to create your own caricature. There are three different painting techniques, acrylic washes, acrylic applied wet-on-wet, and oil washes. This book should prove to be interesting and informational to anyone interested in caricature carving. Use the knowledge and information of the variety of carvers to create a design thats a little different than normal.
