Typhoon Carbide Bur 5/16" Cylinder
Move up to a Typhoon Carbide Bur that cuts faster and lasts longer. The Typhoon Carbide Bur 5/16" Cylinder has a unique structure with hundreds of extremely sharp tungsten carbide teeth. The carbide carving burs are very aggressive and stay sharp a lot longer than regular burs. The cylinder Typhoon carving burrs can be used for contouring and finishing your project. Use the coarse grit for shaping and roughing out work and fine grit for decorative features on hard or soft wood and other various materials. Grits are identified by color. Coarse is red which aggressively removes material and leaves deeper grooves. Fine is blue which gives a bit more control as it moves slower for more detailed work leaving a smoother finish as if it was sanded. The pattern of regular spaced teeth aligned in rows make the carving burs less prone to load yet easier to clean. The manufacturer recommends using a brass brush to rapidly remove any build up if needed. Don't use a file card or steel brush to clean Typhoon Carbide Bur Cylinder. You can use the Typhoon carbide bur cylinder with Foredom, Dremel, and other power rotary tools.
