Product Description
Typhoon Carbide Bur 9/16" Ball Nose
Move up to a Typhoon Carbide Bur that cuts faster and lasts longer. The Typhoon Carbide Bur 9/16" Ball Nose has a unique structure with hundreds of extremely sharp tungsten carbide teeth. The Typhoon carbide bur is very aggressive and stays sharp a lot longer than regular burs.
Use the Typhoon Carbide Bur for shaping and roughing out work on hard or soft wood and other materials. Grits are identified by color. Coarse is red which aggressively removes material leaving a deeper groove.
Fine is blue which runs slower for more control leaving a smoother finish as if it was sanded. The pattern of regularly spaced teeth aligned in rows makes the burs less prone to load yet easier to clean.
You can use the carving burs with Foredom, Dremel, and other rotary tools. The manufacturer recommends using a brass brush to rapidly remove any build-up if needed. Don't use a file card or steel brush to clean Typhoon Carbide Bur ball Nose.
